CID full form is Criminal Investigation Department. Indian State Police’s Crime investigation arm is the component of CID. The division of the police force is the CID and the in charge of the CID is ADG which stands for Additional Police Director General. The headquarters of CID is in Pune also the DGP(Director General of Police) and the Indian government provide special cases for handling to the government.

• In 1902, British Government established the first CID whose chairman was Andrew Fraser.

Eligibility Criteria for Becoming a CID Agent 

• The candidate should live in India. 
• You should have a degree from a known college or university for becoming an inspector or a sub-inspector in CID. 
• The minimum entry requirement for a CID constable is that you should have completed your 12th or secondary education.  
• The nominee should have passed the civil service examination.
