Applying or registering for the CAT consists of three steps that we will discuss below. 

First Step: Register for CAT online 
  • In the first step, you have to register for the CAT online. The official website is www.iimcat.ac.in
  • After this click on the register that is under the ‘New Candidate Registration’. 
  • Then the candidate should enter the details which has been asked such as date of birth, mobile number and many more details. 
  • After that, you should click on the tab that says ‘Generate OTP’. 
  • Lastly, you should enter the OTP and then click on SUBMIT
Second Step: Filling the Form of CAT 
  • After following the above step and also after submitting the OTP you will get the password and user ID on your registered number. 
  • Then they will log in for filling out the form of CAT and also have to fill in the information that has been asked in the application form.
Third Step: Fees Payment

The last step is to pay the fees. Therefore, the general category has to pay 2,400 INR and for the reserved category, it is 1,200 INR.
