What Is B.COM? Based On New Education Policy!
B.COM or Bachelor of Commerce is a 3 year program divided into 6 semesters. However, some universities offer a 4 year programme consisting of 8 semesters. Hence, it being part of the New Education Policy later helps in a 1 year Master’s degree. Although, the 4 year program is completely optional.
Difference between a 3 year & 4 year program?
3 year programs are more specific and will be focused on straightforward knowledge of the subjects. Along with this, if you pursue a Master’s program after a 3 year undergraduate degree then your master’s duration would be 2 years as usual. However, with a 4 year undergraduate program which is more vivid and focused on general education, environmental studies and community service. Students would not get the subject specific knowledge much. But with this 4 year degree, students can complete their Master’s degree in just 1 year.
Why Choose B.Com Over B.SC?
The answer is simple here. B.COM has a vast area of opportunities. On the other hand, where B.SC is tightly focused on scientific majors like medicine and Computer Education which surely has a tough competition due to its tough syllabus. There B.COM is more flexible and also provides a great exposure to students. From accounting to management, from economics to law, from marketing to IT, from Auditing to Finance. Commerce students can blend anywhere!
B.COM Or BBA. Which Is Better?
Now the easiest way to understand the difference between B.COM and BBA is that BBA is management-focused whereas B.COM is more of a financial course. However, they both share some similarities but the subject-specific knowledge is different in both courses.
